LØVETAND is a linen yarn, made of 100% organic linen fibres. The yarn consists of a thin thread, knitted to a fine tube. The tube makes the linen fibre appear softer, than if it were just a single thread.

LØVETAND is suitable for summer knitwear, for example tops, dresses, and skirts. If you crochet LØVETAND, it is very suitable for beach bags, purses, and other accessories, that require a firm structure. Linen is cooling on a warm summer day.

Linen consists of the stem of the flax flower, which makes the yarn robust and durable. Therefore, linen can also feel a bit stiff, when knitted or crocheted, but linen becomes softer in use.

Product info:

* Materials: 100% organic linen fibres.
* Recommended gauge: 21-22 sts x 31-31 rows per 10 x 10 cm on a 3.5-4 mm needle.
* Recommended needles and hooks: 3.5-4 mm.
* Weight / length: 50 grams = 140 meters.
* It is recommended to wash the finished work gently on 30oC, using a detergent suitable for linen. You may NOT use regular detergents to wash LØVETAND, as this contains bleaches and solvents, that will ruin the fibre of the linen. I use grated Olive Marseille soap.

402 NATUR has a golden, warm and light sand-coloured hue and reminiscent of beach sand on a warm summer day. NATUR can be beautifully combined with the other warm hues in LØVETAND

406 PERLEMOR is light, shiny and warm with a soft yellow hue. The colour is reminiscent of summer, ice cream and sunshine and is perfect for at summer top.

408 LYSEBLÅ has a delicate and shiny sky blue hue. LYSEBLÅ has a cold undertone and is beautiful in combination with STØVET BLÅ and MIDNATSBLÅ.

410 FENNIKEL has a very soft, dusty green hue. FENNIKEL is a light and fine spring colour. FENNIKEL can nicely be combined with both the warm and cool hues in LØVETAND.

412 SART ROSA has a light powdered, dusty rose-pink hue. SART ROSA goes well with PUDDER, which is darker

414 PUDDER has a beautiful, dusty rose-pink hue. PUDDER goes well with the brighter SART ROSA. PUDDER has a cooler undertone than GAMMELROSA, which has a warm undertone.

416 COGNAC has a beautiful, golden and dusty red-brown hue. COGNAC has a warm undertone and goes well with the brighter GAMMELROSA

420 AKS has a warm and light golden hue. The colour draws one to a summer day, where the almost ripe grain stands and crackles in the hot sun. AKS is beautiful combined with the darker golden MAHOGNI

426 HAVGRØN has a shiny and dusty green hue. HAVGRØN has a cool undertone

428 STØVET BLÅ has a dusty and cold blue hue. STØVET BLÅ is beautiful combined with LYSEBLÅ and MIDNATSBLÅ.

430 SØLV GRÅ has a cold and grey hue with a shine that makes it seem silver coloured. SØLV GRÅ is a classic and timeless colour, that will work well for basic knitwear.

432 MIDNATSBLÅ has a dusty and dark blue hue. With its cool and shiny colour, MIDNATSBLÅ almost moves over to a bluish grey hue, depending on how the light just falls
